Butler’s Brewery is located on the historic Mapledurham Estate in South Oxfordshire. It is a small, family owned brewery that was started by Mark and Sarah Butler. The Butler’s have lived in the same area for 400 years and been in the farm on the estate where the beer is produced since 1947.
The brewery was open in 2003 after extensive renovation to an old saw mill to convert it into a six-barrel facility. Since then it has been supplying local pubs and events with its real-ale (see Beers).
The beer gets some of its’ delicious flavour from the water which is drawn directly from Mapledurham’s own bore hole, a mile or so away from the brewery. It has often been said that this water is good enough to be bottled and sold alone. So now something that has been available to a few for so many years is now available to many.
All our products are hand crafted using only the highest quality ingredients, our water, English grown malting barley, hops from Hereford,Worcester,Kent and our own yeast strain are all that's used.
We pride ourselves in our beer and do our utmost to ensure that you will enjoy every drop!
